Key Tasks & Deliverables:

  • Business Development – lead and undertake activities to develop and broaden Apsiz Service Limited’s client base. Minimum activities include e-mail, telephone, social media marketing and delivering presentations and meeting with potential clients to generate new business and sales.
  • Procurement Support – provide guidance and support to clients on procurement related queries.
  • Bid Management Support – provide guidance and support to clients on bid management related queries, including responding to high value and complex Public-Sector frameworks and contract opportunities.
  • Resource Management – identify suitable bid management consultants to support the delivery of client facing work. Oversee and co-ordinate bid management consultant service delivery, in accordance with the quality expectations both Apsiz and client expectations.
  • Wider Apsiz Support – where required, be flexible and adaptable to help support other areas of the business such as Recruitment and Consultancy services.
  • Tender Identification – identifying suitable bids for both Apsiz and clients with the view to either respond or offer support
  • Social Media Promotion – growing and delivering key messages to the Apsiz network and to potential new suppliers via the Apsiz website, LinkedIn, Twitter and other relevant platforms when required.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience of either:
    1. working within a Public Sector Procurement / Sourcing role (flexible on whether this is Central Government, Local Authority, NHS, Housing etc.) and/or
    2. working in a Bid Management role which has included experience of responding to a variety of large / multi-national Public-Sector framework / contract tenders.
  • Experience of using eProcurement portals (i.e. Bravo, Emptoris, Due North, AWARD, Oracle etc).
  • Experience of developing and finalising commercial agreements.
  • Ideally working towards or a member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) (or an equivalent degree / membership)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to both develop form relationships with individuals at various levels and effectively influence stakeholders.
  • The ability to develop a network of suitable contacts within a variety of sectors and industries to identify and secure business opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Delivery focused and self-motivated with an ability to use your own initiative in terms of taking ownership of and managing your time and own workload without direct supervision.
  • The ability to work flexibly and must be able to travel in line with the needs of the role and our clients (including client meetings and networking/bidder events).
  • An advanced knowledge of Microsoft products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
